As members get to know other members, they can increase the level of trust which, in turn, makes more information viewable about that specific member.

"Our focus group of online dating users felt uneasy about having all of their entire profile and pictures being available for anyone to view. Popular sites like match.com, americansingles.com and date.com present photos and information about their members — like poster ads — for everyone in the internet world to see — single, married but looking, co-workers, etc. They felt exploited simply because they were single" Harrer stated.

MyCountryMatch.com has an advanced match making engine that pairs up members based on their "mutual match" compatibility score. Members complete an extensive questionnaire with essays. They then go on to complete a "What I'm looking for" questionnaire. Once completed, the MyCountryMatch.com pairing engine goes to work, matching first on location, followed by the combined score when two people are matched up — based on each of their profile answers and what they're seeking. This makes it extremely easy for people to find other people in their area whom they have something in common with.
